Windle's Guide Service is proud to boast over 50 years experience on the streams and Rainforests of the Olympic Peninsula.  Hunting and fishing our whole lives right here in the Northwest gives us not just knowledge of the area but the ADVANTAGE to catch that trophy fish or harvest that trophy black bear. 

We practice good conservation tactics by catch, photo, and releasing all wild fish, and harvesting only fully mature bears.  By releasing a beautiful steelhead to spawn or letting that 2 year old bear grow up a little helps make your outdoor dream a reality several times over.            

 

      

Snider_Creek.gif (41182 bytes)Sam Windle, Sr. operates the Snider Creek Native Steelhead enhancement program on the Sol Duc river.  This project, vital to the area, was made possible from all donated time, money from local businesses and clients from several of the local guides.   

We catch native stock from the Sol Duc and keep them alive until they ripen.  Trying to achieve 100,000 eggs each year is our goal!   My father cares for these fish from fry size to smolt size releasing them into the river with hopes of them returning in 2-3 years.

     

 

Every year our clients donate wild hen and buck steelhead to the pond. If you want to help us by fishing for brood stock in January, would like to book a trip, or just talk about the outdoors, feel free to call us or drop us an e-mail.
